I went to start the car tonight and the immobiliser seems to have been tripped. Now I can't start the car, and you can't even feel the click from the ignition off to on position. Is there anyway to reset the car? I can still lock and unlock with the remote, but the ignition seems to have gone dead, and the immobiliser symbol is flashing. Ford Model: Focus. Ford Year: 2018. Can I assume that the LED immobiliser fault code is really 1,5 (key not recognised) - there is definitely a slightly bigger gap between the second and third of the 6 flashes than there is between any of the last 3 (flash, long gap, flash, short gap, flash, very short gap, flash, very short gap etc.) When the connector solder failed, it actually 13 May 2016 at 10:19AM in Motoring. I have a 2006 Ford Focus and it seems to have a problem. Basically, a couple of months ago, I was driving and felt a loss of power. All dashboard lights came on as well. I called green flag and the chap said it was the immobiliser kicking in, possibly due to me using a non original key. 1857 posts ยท Joined 2014. #1 ยท Sep 15, 2017 (Edited by Moderator) Hi guys. Needing some help and maybe some insperation. My Mk2 FRS i have owned for nearly 4 years. Recently as in months i have had my red light flashing at me occasionally while either driving at speed, any revs and even at a standstill. Most of the time it will go off By turning the ignition on and off repeatedly it will eventually come to life and start. I have had the fault codes read and have a P1260 code which relates to a PATS problem. I have stripped the instrument cluster and found a dry joint on the multi connector, this was re soldered by an electronics engineer I work with. A likely cause is the link between the PCM (engine computer) and the IC. This is vital for the PATS (immobiliser system). The PATS led should give a code, that will help identify the cause. Typical flash code: The red immobilsor light will flash rapidly for 1 minute then it will emit a code. Example - 1 flash -PAUSE - 6 flashes = flash code 16. cBYY.
